books
Looks much better after it's upgrade in early 2016 and has a decent selection of books
Not badly stocked for the size of the place but dreadfully noisey. Not only are base persons with feral offspring allowed to run around uncontrolled, but even the staff are terribly noisy. What happened to quiet in libraries? There is a quiet booth which is totally useless as the glass partition does not even goup to the ceiling. One 'librarian' couldn't even rearrange the shelves without making a huge din. Terrible management. I borrow books and immediately take the home as there is no way a man could possibly be expected to concentrate in this zoo. Poor show.
I like the staff - very very helpful and friendly. I don,t much like the "improvements" asI find it much harder to find the non fiction books I want than before. Also there seems more space and less books than before. Also why did Formby have to get rid of all its cassette talking books? I find that the Cd talking books much worse and far more often to be damaged, jumping and sticking. But I use the library a lot and am grateful the service is still there, even if there are no longer any evening openings.Kinds regardsNikki HARRISON Email nikki@ niik
