Fantastic can't recommend highly enough remember to take you're rubbish home and bags for your dog's!! Leave as you find beautiful pine woods red squirrels and rolling sand dunes with wonderful beautiful beaches, you can see Liverpool from the beach!!
A great place to start a walk - can be rather blustery
Very large car park . 4.50 for the day for non members. Just a few minutes walk from the beach. Either climb the dunes, or follow the prepared path. Lack of toilets cost it the full 5*.
This beach is fantastic. I Highly recommend a trip here. You can swim in the sea, have a BBQ and there is a large area for walking in amongst the pine trees.
I really wanted to give this place 5 stars it is a little piece of paradise. Unfortunately when I visited on a hot summers day even paddling in the sea was very uncomfortable due to the presence of what I believe to be a large amount of sea lice. I returned the next day and was pleased to find considerably fewer but still had to remove 8 after about 10 minutes.I asked the life guard and some locals about them but they didn't believe them to be a problem. But that is what the mayor of Amity Island told chief Brody when presented with their aquatic problem.I will return but won't be going into the water.
