Visited this spacious pub for the first time today. We were served by a lovely guy by the name of Adam whom I can only describe as 'wonderful'. Not only was he polite and well mannered, he also was so kind, showing me how on a future visit I would be able to bring along my Mum who is wheelchair bound. The meal we had was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and both my husband and I would recommend The Grapes. A lovely pub restsurant with an emphasis on friendliness, well done Adam and the rest of the staff!
Great food and great staff with lovely surroundings
Not what it used to be. This place use to be a very popular pub in Formby, and often 6 deep at the bar (which is sizable). Nowadays the crowds seem to always be elsewhere and today there are rarely 2 dozen people in there. Surprisingly this doesnt mean getting service is fast, the bar staff are very slow. The place hasn't been renovated in sometime and it tends to show, that said the restaurant tends to be quite busy during food serving timesAs always, if you found this review useful please remember to like it. Just been for Christmas Lunch. Excellent meal and delightful and courteous staff. Thank you to all the staff for making us so welcome.
Gorgeous Sunday roast. Very child friendly and ever so Christmassy the decs are fab as is Santa's grotto down in the restaurant bit. Highly recommend!
