Top pub for a pie and a pint after walking down the local beach in Formby, beach is about fifteen minutes walk from the pub, child and dog friendly good Sunday lunch menu and good quality food staff very friendly too, wheelchair accessible with full disabled toilet (radar key used)
Now has new manager. He and his family run a happy pub with excellent bar staff. Food is great and reasonably priced. Their daily specials are wonderful value. For example, Wednesday's is a large slice of steak pie with chips, peas and gravy plus a pint of beer or glass of wine. Cost? An amazing 5.99! Better than Wetherspoons!
Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Dog friendly, which is very important for us. Landlord very friendly and great staff.Only complaint is some of the customers round the pool table area swearing is awful, no regard for children, they just don't care. We have to sit amongst them because we bring our dog.Hopefully the manager will sort this out.
A lovely & child friendly pub, the meals and desserts are absolutely mouth watering... AND if your a GIN lover, well there's plenty of flavours for you to choose from
Impromptu visit after visiting friends nearby. Excellent food, drink and service in warm, cosy surroundings. Fantastic value for money. 11.98 for two meals, a pint and a glass of wine is amazing. We will return.
